Despacito by Puerto Rican singer Luis Fonsi, and Daddy Yankee became the song that was streamed the most within less than six weeks. It was a combination of reggaeton and pop which not only brought attention to Latin Music, but also reggaeton. The Billboard Top 100 in 2015 had two tracks that were mostly in the Spanish and 2016 saw four. The Despacito album reached its peak success in 2017, 19 tracks primarily made in Spanish reached into the Top 100. The number grew to 41 by 2020. In the wake of Justin Bieber released his bilingual remix of Despacito in the year 2017, the most well-known artists began to join forces with reggaeton artists. Drake and Bad Bunny collaborated on MIA (2018) as did Madonna and Maluma. Madonna joined forces with Maluma for Medellin, 2019 The gradual mainstreaming of reggaeton became an issue for certain performers in the year 2020. Rauw alejandro and a young generation, however, were keen to keep the look. The group incorporated elements from different genres and electronic music.
