Aspen Ladd started her combat sports career at the age of fourteen. In addition to BJJ training as well, she was also trained in boxing, wrestling, and kickboxing. When she was 18, she made her debut as an amateur at WCFC. Ladd had an amazing three-fight winning streak in Ultimate Reno Combat. In all three, she finished her opponent right in the first round. Ladd went back to WCFC in order to defeat Leslie Rodriguez through a unanimous verdict. Aspen had already defeated Silvia Baeghian as well as Maddy Simmons, before taking the fight to Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia defeated Aspen with a majority vote. The loss put a mark on her record as an amateur. Ladd recovered from the defeat, and won Roma Pawelek at Tuff-N-Uff to take her record to 8-1. Aspen began her professional career in the year 2015. She joined Invicta FC and made her debut. She fought Ana Carolina Vidal at Invicta FC 11 and dominated her in the first round to win a TKO. Invicta took on her in the Bantamweight division and prevailed via armbar submission during the second round. Aspen's superior wrestling skill was able to take down McGill, and she managed to finish her fight in the third round with a TKO (elbows and punches). Aspen continued to take on Jessica Hoy for Invicta FC18 with a weight of 138.1lb. Ladd was not capable of achieving the weight however, Aspen was victorious and defeated Hoy by TKO. Invicta FC 21, she won her final fight with the promotion with a unanimous decision. Aspen Ladd debuted in the UFC in the 118th UFC Fight Night 118, with a bout against Lina Langsberg. She was a step ahead of Lina and then pounded her on the ground to pick up a second-round TKO victory. She continued to dominate and won a much more convincing victory when she fought Tonya Evinger at UFC 229 Ladd ended Evinger's bout after the first round. The winner also got an extra bonus for her performance that night. Invicta FC, a rematch of UFC Fight Night dos Anjos and Lee She fought Sijara Eubanks to win her first major fight. Both fighters fought one of the most competitive fights that Ladd was victorious by a majority decision. Both fighters received an award called the Fight of the Night Bonus. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie stopped Ladd's winning streak with just 16 seconds. Yana Knitskaya in the UFC 7 ESPN 7's 3rd round, was defeated by Randamie. As a last-minute replacement for her UFC fight, she took on Norma Dumont during UFC Fight Night 195. She lost the fight via majority decision.
