McKayla Rose Maroney is a retired American artistic gymnast and singer. She took home the gold and silver medals at the vault competitions for both the American gymnastics team and for the Fierce Five in the Summer Olympics in 2012. Her early life. McKayla Rose Maroney was born in Aliso Viejo, California, on December 9, 1995, her parents being Erin and Mike Maroney (died 2019). McKayla is of Irish Catholic heritage. She has two siblings, Tarynn and Kav, and attended home school in order to become an elite gymnast. They have their daughter Aria Skye Kagan, born on the 29th day of December in 2019. she briefly lived alone in Topeka and was enthralled by remembrances of her deportation from her church and family. She eventually decided to relocate to Connecticut. Two sisters, her parents, and brother remained members of the church and removed all connections to her.
