JessicaJessica Ann Simpson Johnson, born on 10 July 1980 is an American singer-actress, actress as well as entrepreneur and philanthropist. Simpson signed with Columbia Records at the age of seventeen after she had been in church choirs since she was a child. Sweet Kisses (1999), her debut album, sold two million copies in America. The single "I Wanna Love You Forever" was a big commercial hit. Following the release of her first Christmas album ReJoyce: The Christmas Album (2004), which was certified gold, Simpson made her film debut as Daisy Duke in The Dukes of Hazzard (2005). The film's soundtrack also featured the cover song "These Boots are Made for Walking". In 2006, she released her fifth studio album A Public Affair. She was also in the romantic comedy film The Employee of the Month. After the release of her sixth studio album Do You Know (2008), Simpson moved to the country genre. Simpson also released The Jessica Simpson Collection, the brand's fashion-focused line, which includes 34 categories of products. The brand has earned more than one billion dollars in sales and is the most profitable celebrity licensing brand in history. Simpson also appeared on The Price of Beauty, a reality television show in 2010. She also judged the designs for clothing for Fashion Star 2 and 3. Simpson is married to Eric Johnson with whom she has three kids.
